Rules of life.

Hello everyone,
We want to share with you this useful resource

     7 Rules of Life
1.Make peace with your past so it won`t screw  up the present.
2.What others think of you is not your business.
3.Time heals almost everything, give it time.
4.Don`t compare your life to others, and don`t judge them.
You have no idea what their journey is all about.
5.Stop thinking too much,it`s alright not to know the answers
They will come to you when you least expect.
6.No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
7.Smile.You don`t own all the problems in the world.

Even if you have heard these before please try to use them.
Life is too short to live it miserably.

YORUBA MOTHERS!!!

Hello everyone,
This a lively information about one of the old Yoruba culture.
It was sent to me by a niece of mine. I thought I should share it with you.
It goes like this:
YORUBA MOTHERS!!!
Yorùbá mothers are one of the best when it comes to child upbringing.
Yorùbá mothers produce the best range of slaps: IGBATI,
IFOTI, IGBAJU, IGBARUN, IFORUN, IFAKUN, ILADI, ABARA.
These slaps will make you think you were adopted.
IGBATI will make you correct your wrongs instantly!
The beauty of IFOTI is, you will confess your sins on the spot.
IGBARUN, IGBAJU and IFORUN will make you expose
those who committed the crime with you without hesitation.
ABARA and ILADI will make you pee in your new pants.
Now ABARA is the worst...
And apart from IGBAJU, we have an advanced one which
is IGBAJU OLOYI.
When you receive that one, you'll lose balance and your
head will  spin and go into "auto-search" as you'll be looking for
what hit you. This will make you do all the actions of the
other slaps aforementioned at once!
OH! IGBAJU OLOYI... it can reset someone to 3D (DEAF,
DUMB, and DAFT). She will say let's go home and u will
say "it's in my pocket ma!"
God bless our parents for the good upbringing. If you
were brought-up in Yoruba land, regardless of how
caring your mother was, you'd have encountered these
slaps ....
I knw u re laughing unless u re not a Yoruba.

NOTE!Please do not try this with your child(ren) if you live abroad especially the USA.
This is the 21st century and there are other better ways you can correct besides IFOTI etc.
Enjoy your weekend!

Motivation.

E ku deede iwoyio,
I want to thank you all for our May`s meeting.
Thank you for the great support, contributions and donations.
It was an unbelievable experience of what the power
of will and love can do.However, I want you all to remember the motivational
remark on setting goals. This can never be overemphasized.
Robert Kiyosaki author of Rich Dad Poor Dad etc.
(one of my favorite authors) put it this way in one of his books;
Step one: Identify the thing(s )you want.
Step two: Identify the price of that thing.
Step three: Pay the price.
Try as much as possible and as soon as possible to set
goals that are clear, challenging and obtainable. It is the first step to success.
My hope is that we will reach beyond our dreams and goals and be successful.

A o she asheyori o.

Meeting

E ku dede iwoyi o,
I want to thank you all for attending our April 28th meeting.
I appreciate your great contributions and the smoothness of the meeting.
I want to appeal to you all again to please tell and BRING people you may know, who are not attending that THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A BETTER TIME THAN NOW. Tell them we love them and we need them.
Lastly, as mentioned in the meeting, let`s learn how to go extra mile
helping each other, which means doing everything within our power helping our fellow Nigerians. Let`s do it with kindness and compassion, humility, gentleness and patience even when we don`t get immediate or enough appreciation for it.The reward may come through another channel we may never dream of. Remember the Yoruba adage;
“Agbatan laa gbole, taa ba daso fole aa pa laro”
Oju rere ati anu Olodumare a ma wa pelu wa o.
Segun.
President.

Meeting

Hello everyone,
E ku dede iwoyi,
I want to thank you all for attending the first meeting of the year.
Thank you for your great contributions and the smoothness of the meeting. I will however appreciate if you could inform people you may know, who are not attending or still looking from outside that there has never been a better time to join us than now. Tell them we love them and we need them to come and be part of good things happening in the association. Please spread the news. To our regular members, like we mentioned in the meeting, let love for each other and the association be strong, then we can take the association to a great height together. Lastly as also mentioned in the meeting, let`s have "leave the campsite better than the way you found it" attitude which may be applied to every area of our lives. Use your gift to it`s fullest potential, contribute to the society and make the kind of imprint on the world, no matter how small it may be, like the good people who have gone before us.
Once again, thank you, and looking forward to seeing you in March.
Oke oke ni a o maa lo o
Segun.
President.
YAJ.
